RACE RUles

ALL RACES ARE BUCKET RACES!!!!!!

HOW IT WORKS:

Each race is a mass start, variable course that has different laps depending on the terrain/weather condition.

Between each lap, all participants play Hammaschlagen- our version of the German Drinking game where you pound a 3.5 inch nail with a hammer into a burly piece of wood.

The first person to put their Number Plate in the tire bucket after completing all laps will be named the category winner.

We have five categories: Juniors <16 ; Men 16+ Elite & Citizen; Women 16+ Elite & Citizen. All riders self-select themselves into Elite/Citizen categories. Place in the top 1-3 in Citizen 3 times at our races, and you will automatically be bumped to Elite.

All of our courses are decided day of based on weather/course conditions. Generally citizens/juniors ride 9-12 miles and Elite will ride 15-18+. We like to keep laps between 3-5 miles, which depending on your category warrants 2-4 laps per race.

DETAILS:

  1. After a racer passes the finish line - they must take their number plate off their bike, run over & place it into the ring of tires - inside will be a bucket.

  2. If another racer crosses the finish line after you, but gets their nameplate in the bucket BEFORE you, They will earn more points and have a high place standing than you.

  3. Racers that lose their Number Plate during the race will have to make a new one at the registration tent. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  4. In the event of a mechanical failure, riders are allowed to come to the start and either have the problem fixed, or borrow a rental fat bike to finish the race (free of charge granted we have your size still available).  You will get your 10 points for finishing your remaining laps, or 5 points for getting back in the game and trying.
